- My fundamental belief when it comes to teaching Irish is very simple: “if you can speak it, you can write it“.
- I’m passionate about trying to make the Irish language more accessible to Leaving Cert Students, Student Teachers, Practising Teachers and adult learners of every kind!
- For me, it all comes down to rebuilding a learner's core grammatical structure, which enables them to develop a sense of independence over time.
- I’ve enjoyed more than 25 years of teaching Irish to all academic levels and student abilities.
- I’ve worked as both an Irish oral examiner and a written examiner with the SEC in the past.
- I also worked as the Lead Tutor for School Experience and Professional Practice with Hibernia College on their PDE Programme (Secondary).
- In a private capacity I've provided countless individual and group classes to current practitioners, aspiring primary school teachers (Leaving Cert Irish Higher / TEG level) and those currently enrolled in teacher training colleges such as Hibernia College, Mary Immaculate College and Marino Institute of Education.
